Founder & Directing ManagerAfter working abroad in the design meccas of Paris, New York and Dubai, Jamal G. discovered that his true passion lay in creating exceptional interiors. With a particular affinity for kitchen design, he moved to Australia in 2016 and established his interior design studio in Double Bay — originally known as Frenchitecture, and later La Factory. Today that vision has evolved into Amazali: a multidisciplinary design studio and flagship 300-square-metre showroom within the Waterloo Design Centre in Sydney.
Over the years, Jamal has built a reputation for creating highly considered interiors defined by individuality, functionality and meticulous attention to detail. Working alongside a close-knit team of talented designers and industry professionals, he delivers projects across a range of scales, styles and budgets. Every interior is approached as a personal expression of the client, resulting in spaces that feel distinctive, purposeful and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.

Rather than following a single designer, movement or aesthetic, he draws inspiration from art, music, architecture and the many cultures and places he has experienced around the world — deliberately challenging convention in the belief that the most memorable interiors emerge when creativity is allowed to move beyond the expected.
His architectural education and international experience let him consider each interior holistically — from spatial planning and materiality to bespoke joinery, construction and final delivery. This comprehensive approach allows the studio to provide tailored, turnkey solutions that guide clients from the earliest concept through to completion.
Creativity, though, must always be supported by clarity and practicality. Jamal believes one of the most common mistakes when approaching a kitchen, bathroom or complete renovation is avoiding an honest conversation about budget. "It's like setting off with a GPS but never entering the destination — the easiest way to get lost," he explains. His advice is simple: establish expectations early, understand the limits, and make every design decision with purpose. For Jamal, true project success means creating something exceptional while respecting the client's vision, priorities and investment.
